Autumn Term 2020
Welcome back to school after such a long time. We hope you all had a good Summer and welcome to those that are new to the school.
The children have all made a really good start to the term and have come back to school confidently and happily and are adapting to the new rules and routines well.
Children will be involved in a range of activities across lots of different areas of the curriculum and in different areas of the classroom. They will be learn different skills in directed actives, encouraged to practice these skills through doing challenges and also develop their own ideas in child initiated learning.
This terms topic is Our School and Class 1 will be focusing in particular on developing our school garden. We will keep you informed of how the topic is unfolding each week along with ways you can enhance and support your child's learning at home.
We will be starting Forest school activities soon but at the moment while the building work is going on we are not able to do so. We will let you know when we are starting up again.
PE day is a Friday. Reception children need to come to school dressed in PE kit with a tracksuit on top. Nursery children come to school in joggers and trainers or suitable clothing for an outdoor PE session. They do not have to have a PE kit underneath.
We hope everyone has a great term. Please keep up to date with information via weekly challenges, Seesaw and the school website.
Thank you for your support.
Early Years Team.
