Autumn Term 2019
Welcome back after Summer. We hope you all had a lovely holiday and welcome to those that are new to the school.
The children have all made a really good start to the term and are learning about the school routines and making new friends.
Children will be involved in a range of activities across lots of different areas of the curriculum and in different areas of the classroom. They will be learn different skills in directed actives, encouraged to practice these skills through doing challenges and also develop their own ideas in child initiated learning.
This terms topic is Our Planet and Class 1 will be focusing in particular on the woodland and woking on tasks to help save the woodland from being used for building. We will keep you informed of the how the topic is unfolding each week along with ways you can enhance and support your child's learning at home.
Morning Nursery and Reception children will be taking part in a weekly forest session on a Thursday morning with Forest expert Mrs Wynn. Please send children to school on this day in their waterproofs and wellies over their uniform and include warm clothes when it is cold. We go outside in all weathers. We will run afternoon sessions after half term.
PE day is a Monday. Reception children need to make sure their kit it in school.
We hope everyone has a great term. Please keep up to date with information via weekly challenges, Seesaw and the school website.
Thank you for your support.
