Another excellent week in school, particularly in our St Davids Day assembly. Some excellent homework was enhanced by some really good performances in the show. I hope those of you who joined us enjoyed the show. I hope to be able to put the video online this week.
Our troubles with IT continue. We are awaiting see support with this. It is very frustrating so please bear with us.
I am in a position to share the responses from the parent questionnaires most of which remain extremely positive. The only area that was one for attention was mainly extra curricular clubs. This is extremely difficult to manage as many children want to do many different clubs. We do try and take into account the different requests, however, clubs are managed by teaching staff who work very hard to give different opportunities. If any of you can help then please let me know and we can try and arrange for the new clubs.
Another event this week was the performances in the local Eisteddfod. We performed with such enthusiasm and dedication on what was a very long afternoon! My thanks to Mrs Jones for organising the events and the children. Two 1st places and one 2nd is amazing on our first attempt. I look forward to the regional finals in 2 weeks time. I am, as always, an extremely proud headteacher.
One final point for this week is a reminder of our policy on PE. Please ensure children have a PE kit in school. We request white shirts and black shorts as our kit, for both inside and outside. We do not allow alternatives, for example, tracksuits, as this is a health and safety issue indoors.
Lok out for the newsletter tomorrow and online for the videos from this weekend's Eisteddfod and the St Davids Day assembly.
