I am very grateful to those who have sent their best wishes regarding my new post. In all honesty, it came as a bit of a shock! However, this is an ideal moment for both me and the school to begin a new chapter. The advert for the post of headteacher is out and, following their meeting in Thursday, the governors hope to appoint certainly before the end of April. This is of course dependant on the quality and quantity of the applications.
We had a good few sprints on the yard on Friday for sport relief. I hope to tell you how much we raised tomorrow.
On Saturday I was, yet again, overjoyed and proud of the performances given by the children in the regional Eisteddfod. The ensemble group of Nerys, Grace, Elinor and Stephanie got through to the national finals as did Nerys for her solo. Outstanding achievement. Owen was up against some fine musicians and he did really well to reach the stage after the prelims in the morning. So Da Iawn I bawl.
This week is a short week as we finish on Wednesday for the Easter break. We will be holding our world book day on Wednesday and the children can come dressed as a book character. This is always good fun so please take part!
We did have some queries regarding Scarlett fever this week. We have been informed b urge local health board that children should be off school for 24 hours following the first dose of antibiotics, I hope this clarifies for you.
