Another busy week ahead this week. We begin our rugby training tomorrow. We have a representative form the Crusaders joining us to tea rugby to the Juniors. After school clubs begin fully this week we have cricket on Monday along with art, on Wednesday we have Eco-Club and Music and on Thursday Multi sports.
I hope you had a chance to read your response to the parental questionnaire. These were very positive and thanks to all those who responded. As you will know from the newsletter, there was a lot of information regarding tests and healthy snacks. There is some support available on the learning Wales website to work with your child and try out some different tests.
The healthy snacks section was regarding heathy launches and break time. We have a duty as a school to actively promote healthy eating. It is vital that children receive a healthy and balanced diet. In school the kitchen have some very strict guidelines when cooking lunches, and therefore they give the correct nutritional requirements. We also offer a fruit snack in the morning for KS 2 ( class 3 and 4) that provide snack for break times. When it comes to packed lunches, this is where we need parental support. Please, where possible, avoid sugary snacks such as chocolate and savoury snacks that are high in fat. Your support with this will be greatly appreciated.
Remember we have a bank holiday next week and then the tests begin!
