Another week passes by and now only 3 1/2 to go, amazing how quickly time goes! Anyway a busy week last week. Our Foundation Phase went to Greenacres on Monday and had a lovely time, apart from the weather of course! On Tuesday we were visited by Keep Wales Tidy for our assessment for the Green Eco Flag award. Lots of hard work has gone
into gathering evidence and getting the school to remember its responsibilities toward the environment.
On Thursday we had our 'moving up' day and welcomed our new nursery. It was a huge success and the children had a great day. It was certainly sad to see the classes for next year knowing I will not be there. Mr Caughter spent the morning with the children in different classes and I am sure he will have enjoyed that.
To this week now. Tomorrow Class 3A and B go to Chester Zoo, with a focus on skeletons and teeth. Fairly sure they will see some at the zoo. On Tuesday class 4 are going to Stratford. Mrs Chambers and Mr Jamil will be joined by some children from Gwernymynydd. The children are looking forward to the trip and especially the visits to Warwick Castle and the Dungeon! On Friday our sports day is planned. The weather does not look fantastic at the moment so we will need to keep our fingers crossed. I will be away on Thursday on ESTYN training and therefore Mrs Jones will make a decision if it is in any doubt.
We are only a week away from the Summer Fete if you can help in any way then please let a member of the PTA know.
See you tomorrow
