Mrs Taylor, in class 2, has had to have an operation and, therefore, will be away from school, probably until Easter time. I am sure you will join with me in wishing her a speedy recovery.
The E-Cadets had a great experience this week by recording themselves for the upcoming Safer Internet Day (Tuesday 9th). They will be on the Ecadet radio on Tuesday and you can follow this link to hear them, https://www.ecadet.zone. In addition, the E Cadets will be leading the events in school this week, so look out for the QR codes in school.
You will notice the we have placed some cones in front of the school, this is to prevent anybody parking by the gates or dropping off as we still have an issue with this. Another problem is that some parents are parking on the grass verge and even on the pavement. Local residents are, quite rightly, complaining about this. I realise that it is difficult when collecting children, however, the safety of everybody should be paramount. If you have any suggestions to ease the congestion, especially at the end of the school day I would love to hear from you.
We had a positive parent committee meeting this week. Thanks to those who attended, I will mail out the minutes after half term. Anyone who is interested in joining us is more than welcome. 1 discussion was around the PTA. I know that they are desperate for help in organising events and I would urge anybody who can to offer some help. The PTA will be organising a cake sale for Friday, please see the newsletter for more details.
Finally, after half term, we will be cutting down on the amount of paper coming out of school. Those parents who have their names on the mailing list will receive an e-mail only. I hope those who do not have an email contact will send their address in.
