A very busy week ahead this week. We have clubs starting, language on Monday, drama on Thursday. The performance for Joseph will be on the 7th of July. I am reliably informed that there will be a special guest so may be worth a watch just for that! I have asked staff to share clubs this term due to the commitment to reports. It is an extremely busy term and staff do reports in their own time so, as I am sure you will understand, we have reduced the clubs for this term. Mr Jamil and I will share cricket and Miss Hamilton and Miss Gould will share rounder/athletics, details were sent out on Friday.
In the morning, I will be holding a meeting on the school’s self-evaluation. This is a vital part of school development and any of you that can attend, please do! This is a great opportunity for you to have an impact on the school’s role and future. If you are coming you can find the document we are using on the school website under the heading of School Self-evaluation.
We will be welcoming our new Nursery on Wednesday evening. Our new headteacher, Mr Caughter, will take the meeting with Mrs Jones. Please fell free to bring your children along to have a look at the school if you are attending.
There are a lot of different trips planned over the next few weeks. If you have not already contributed toward these trips then I would be grateful if you would do so as early as possible. Many Thanks. In addition to the trips, we have sent out the letters regarding music in September. I understand that this is an outlay at the start of the year, and I am sure that school will support and give time if you have siblings. We have had to adopt this position, which is the same as most schools in Flintshire, due to children not fulfilling the whole year. We are liable to pay for the lessons we have and we do not always get the full amount in and this can prove extremely costly.
Finally, it is Sports Day on Friday. Let’s keep fingers crossed for the weather. Unless it is obviously too wet, I will make a decision by 10.30 in the morning, in order to allow you plenty of time. There will be refreshments available on the day. Children, as always, will not be allowed to come to you in the crowd, so please do not ask them to do so.
See you tomorrow
