Apologies that it has been a long time since my last blog. Just some quick notes now on the last few weeks. Our e-cadets continue to work really hard on their challenges, joined now by our mini e-cadets. Thanks Mawr Iawn to Miss Simpson and Mrs Taylor for their hard work!
As you will know last week was parents evening. I must apologise for the delay in some classes. We endeavour to complete within 10 minutes, however this does run over, but not like this time! In March, we will need to be stricter with our timings.
We have held our Harvest service which went well and since half term we have been working on a World War 1. the children have been really enthused about this and have enjoyed finding out about the great war. We will be holding a remembrance service for our community pensioners tomorrow. I hope to be able to put the film on the website, under whole school events.
It is Children in Need day on Friday. The school council will agin be organising the event, so please look out for the letter!
On the subject of letters, I hope you all received my letter on Friday. WE have taken a proportion of parents' email addressees and I have emailed the newsletter. I hope this will support the communication. If you are interested, please give your email address to the office. Letters informing you of school events are a vital part, but only a part, o our ongoing communication. We really want parents to use the website for information and looking at work. In addition, we have a twitter feed @yowenjones. If you are unsure about twitter pop in and ask, the e-cadets will be more than happy to oblige.
Finally, we have an IT workshop all day on the 26th of November for ALL of the community. If you know of anybody that would like some free training, please ask them to pop along
Kind Regards
Mr Tennant
