I was particularly pleased with both the volume and the quality of the homework. Homework is an important element of a child's education as it provides an assessment of teacher input, allows parents to assess how well they are doing and, more often than not, is enjoyable! So well done to all those who took part and to our winners on the day. Mr Jamil was away the week before last on some exciting IT update training. You will notice some changes in the displays in school that will include QR codes. How to use these codes will be explained by the children on video, so watch out for that! In addition we will be building e-portfolios which will accessible by you at home. This will be done through 'google drive' and is an exciting addition to our IT development.
Many thanks to those parents who attended the maths course. All materials are available in the curriculum 2015 tab. These workshops do take a lot of organising and are very important. I was disappointed not to see more people there. If there is anyway we could do something different in order to have more people to attend then please let me know.
Parents evening is next week and, as stated in the newsletter, there will be an annual questionnaire. This has been put on the website this year, in the parents tab, under the sub-heading questionnaire. Please feel free to complete online, however, I would be grateful if you could avoid filling in a paper copy next week. We will be allowing children to go in with parents for the meeting, I will be available in the hall for some children.
See you next week
